The sister to the Selma Slipover V-Neck is all about casual comfort and the fluffiest yarn makes it the perfect cozy layering slipover! The oversized fit brings a laid-back and modern feel to the garment and the classic round neck and high slit on each side provide some interesting details to an otherwise simple and timeless slipover. The round neck Slipover knitting pattern is knitted top down with chunky knitting needles which makes it a super fast knit and therefore a perfect quick gift knit for someone special! After completing your Selma Slipover knitting pattern you’ll have the perfect piece to wear over top of dresses, longsleeves or blouses – also it’s perfect for fall and spring weather for a little bit of extra warmth!

The Selma Slipover should have a positive ease of approx. 20 cm in relation to your chest circumference. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL fit an actual chest circumference of 78-84 (85-90) 91-98 (99-109) 110-120 (121-130) 131-140 cm. Take your own measurements before you start knitting to make sure you have chosen the right size for you.

The finished sizes of the Selma Slipover will appr. be 101 (106) 115 (123) 135 (145) 155 cm.

 

Needles

Circular knitting needle 7.0 mm (60, 80 or 100 cm) [16 and 40 inches]

Circular knitting needle 6.0 mm [US10] (40, 80 or 100 cm für Magic Loop) [16 and 40 inches] for the ribbing on the body

Circular knitting needle 5.0 mm [US8] (40 cm)  [16 inches] for the ribbing at the armholes and neck

 

Gauge

Stockinette stitch on 7.0 mm needles:

10 sts x 19 R = 10 x 10 cm

Note that both the number of stitches and the number of rows must be correct.

“Melody” from Drops (50 g = 140 m)

together with

“Kid Silk” from Drops (25 g = 210 m)

 

The slipover is knitted with three strands held together, two strands of “Melody” and one strand of “Kid Silk”.

Note that you will need more yarn if you want to knit the slipover longer or make other changes to the pattern.
