The Foolproof Cardigan should have a range of movement (positive ease) of approx. 15-22 cm in relation to your chest circumference. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL fit a chest measurement of 78-84 (85-90) 91-98 (99-109) 110-120 (121-130) 131-140 cm. Measure yourself before you start knitting to make sure you have chosen the correct size for you.

The finished bust circumference of the garment measures: 96 (102) 112 (121) 134 (145) 157 cm.

Needles

Circular knitting needle 8.0 mm [US11] (40 & 80 or 100 cm) [16 and 40 inches]

Circular knitting needle 7.0 mm (80 or 100 cm) [40 inches]

Circular knitting needle 6.0 mm [US10] (40, 80 or 100 cm) [16 or 40 inches]

Gauge

Stockinette stitch on 8.0 mm needles:

12 sts /  20 r = 10 x 10 cm

The Foolproof Cardigan is knit with two strands of yarn held together. One strand of the thicker yarn, held together with one strand of the thinner yarn.

Note that you will need more yarn if you want to knit the cardigan longer.
